JSW Energy Limited has announced the successful commissioning of 261 MW of renewable energy capacity in the first quarter of FY26. This includes 189 MW of solar and 72 MW of wind energy. With this addition, the company’s total installed capacity has increased to 12,760 MW.

Renewables Now Constitute 56% of Total Capacity

JSW Energy’s renewable energy portfolio now makes up 56% of its total installed capacity. The company currently operates 3,554 MW of wind, 2,157 MW of solar, and 1,391 MW of hydro power. This strategic capacity addition comes at the start of the peak renewable generation season, ensuring meaningful contributions to the company’s energy output for the year.

1.9 GW Added in Q1 FY26

During Q1 FY26 alone, JSW Energy has added 1.9 GW of capacity, combining both organic growth and acquisitions. This highlights the company’s continued momentum toward its long-term energy goals.

Strong Project Pipeline and Storage Ambitions

The company’s total locked-in generation capacity now stands at 29.9 GW, of which 12.8 GW is operational, 12.5 GW is under construction, and 4.6 GW is in the pipeline. JSW Energy is also aggressively expanding in energy storage, with 29.3 GWh of locked-in storage capacity, including 26.4 GWh from hydro pumped storage and 2.9 GWh from battery storage.

On July 7, 2025, JSW Energy share price opened at ₹513.65, up from its previous close of ₹512.00. At 12:44 PM, the share price of JSW Energy was trading at ₹509.70, down by 0.45% on the NSE.
