IREDA share price rose over 2% on June 11, 2025, after the company announced the successful closure of its Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), through which it raised ₹2,000 crore. The stock opened at ₹182.45 and touched a high of ₹183.50 on the BSE.
As part of the QIP, IREDA issued 12.14 crore equity shares at ₹155.14 each, which was a 5% discount to the floor price. LIC received 50% of the total shares allotted in this issue. Before this, LIC did not hold any significant stake in the company, based on the March quarter shareholding data.
Along with LIC, global institutions like Societe Generale, Morgan Stanley, and Vikasa India EIF I Fund also participated, each securing over 5% of the shares offered.
Following the QIP, IREDA’s total paid-up share capital increased from ₹2,687 crore (268.77 crore shares) to ₹2,809 crore (280.92 crore shares).
