Om Power Transmission Ltd has initiated the process of going public by filing its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO) consists of a fresh issue of 90 lakh equity shares and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of 10 lakh shares by the company’s promoters.

IPO Objectives and Business Expansion Plans

As per the news reports, the net proceeds from the fresh issue will be utilised for several key purposes, including the purchase of advanced machinery and equipment, partial or full repayment of existing borrowings, funding long-term working capital requirements, and supporting general corporate activities.
Based in Ahmedabad, Om Power Transmission specialises in high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) transmission line projects, substations, and underground cabling systems. The company also provides comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services across India’s power infrastructure network.

In recent years, the firm has successfully commissioned over 1,000 circuit kilometres (CKM) of transmission lines and 11 substations, including 450 CKM of lines and four substations completed in the last three financial years. As of August 31, 2025, the company’s order book comprised 56 ongoing projects valued at ₹776.19 crore, spanning 50 EPC contracts and 6 O&M projects, alongside the operation and maintenance of 134 substations.

Financial Growth and Market Outlook

Om Power Transmission has demonstrated strong financial performance in recent years. For FY2025, the company reported revenue from operations of ₹279.43 crore, marking a significant rise from ₹182.76 crore in FY2024. The profit after tax also increased sharply to ₹22.08 crore from ₹7.41 crore in the previous fiscal year.

The company’s client base includes state utilities such as GETCO, various renewable energy developers and solar park operators, as well as key infrastructure initiatives like the Bullet Train project. The IPO is being managed by Beeline Capital Advisors Private Limited, which serves as the book-running lead manager for the issue.
