After facing several delays, Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla is finally set to launch into space on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, as part of the SpaceX-Axiom-4 mission. This historic mission includes astronauts from India, Poland, Hungary, and the United States.
The Axiom-4 crew includes:
They will travel aboard a new SpaceX Dragon spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS).
Live streaming will be available on NASA+, Axiom Space, and SpaceX channels.
The crew will spend up to 14 days on the ISS, conducting research and experiments. For Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, this mission is not just a personal milestone—it’s a step toward India’s goal to land an astronaut on the Moon by 2040.
Hungary publicly shared that it is paying $100 million for its seat. India and Poland have not revealed the exact amount, but reports say that ISRO is spending ₹550 crore on Shukla’s participation in this mission.
