On July 25, 2025, HDFC Bank shares will trade ex-date, meaning that the shareholders registered in the company’s books will be eligible for a ₹5 special dividend.
HDFC Bank Ltd said in an exchange filing, “A Special Interim Dividend of Rs. 5 per equity share of Re. 1/- each fully paid up (i.e. 500%), for the FY 2025-26. The record date for determining the eligibility of Members entitled to receive the said Special Interim Dividend is Friday, July 25, 2025. The Special Interim Divided shall be paid to the eligible Members on Monday, August 11, 2025.”

For the quarter ended June 30, 2025, the Bank reported a net revenue of ₹531.7 billion, which includes transaction gains of ₹91.3 billion from a partial stake sale in its subsidiary, HDB Financial Services Ltd., through its recent IPO. This marks a significant increase from ₹405.1 billion recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year (Q1 FY25).
Net interest income (NII)—the difference between interest earned and interest expended—rose by 5.4% year-on-year, reaching ₹314.4 billion in Q1 FY26, up from ₹298.4 billion in Q1 FY25.
The core net interest margin (NIM) stood at 3.35% of total assets for the quarter, reflecting the impact of asset repricing outpacing deposit repricing. This compares to 3.46% in the preceding quarter ended March 31, 2025 (Q4 FY25).
