GAIL Q1 FY26 Earnings Results: Reports ₹1,886 Crore Profit, Secures Approval for Major Pipeline Expansion

GAIL (India) Limited reported a revenue of ₹34,792 crore for the first quarter of FY26, compared to ₹33,692 crore in the same quarter last year.

  • Profit Before Tax (PBT): ₹2,533 crore vs ₹3,642 crore in Q1 FY25
  • Profit After Tax (PAT): ₹1,886 crore vs ₹2,724 crore in Q1 FY25

On a quarter-on-quarter basis, revenue dropped slightly from ₹35,707 crore in Q4 FY25. PAT also fell from ₹2,049 crore to ₹1,886 crore.

GAIL Q1 FY26 Earnings: Consolidated Performance

On a consolidated basis:

  • Revenue: ₹35,429 crore in Q1 FY26 vs ₹36,551 crore in Q4 FY25
  • PBT: ₹3,029 crore vs ₹3,240 crore
  • PAT (after minority interest): ₹2,369 crore vs ₹2,492 crore

Capital Expenditure and Expansion Plans

GAIL invested ₹3,176 crore in capital expenditure during the quarter, focusing on pipelines, petrochemicals, and joint ventures.

Additionally, GAIL received approval from PNGRB to double the capacity of its Jamnagar-Loni LPG pipeline from 3.25 MMTPA to 6.5 MMTPA.

  • Timeline: Completion expected in 3 years
  • Benefit: Will reduce CO₂ emissions and road-related hazards
