On June 6, 2025, A block deal took place in Bajaj Finserv Ltd., the parent company of Bajaj Finance, which saw strong demand from both domestic and foreign institutional investors.
Prominent domestic mutual funds such as SBI Mutual Fund, HDFC MF, ICICI Prudential MF, and Aditya Birla Sun Life MF took significant positions, joined by marquee global investors including Morgan Stanley Asia, Goldman Sachs, BofA Securities Europe, and Societe Generale.

The sellers in the transaction included Jamnalal Sons Pvt. Ltd., a Bajaj Finserv promoter entity, offloading 1.82 crore shares, and Bajaj Holdings and Investment, which sold 1.04 crore shares. The total deal was valued at approximately ₹5,506 crore.

As of the March quarter, domestic mutual funds collectively held a 5.43% stake in Bajaj Finserv, with the SBI Index Fund accounting for 1.33%. On the other hand, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) had a 7.52% stake.
The market responded positively to the transaction. Bajaj Finserv shares opened at ₹2,013.80, reaching a day high of ₹2,013.80 at 09:30 AM.
