Avenue Supermarts Limited, known for its retail chain DMart, has announced the launch of a new store in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The information was shared by the company with stock exchanges on 17th June 2025, reflecting its continued retail expansion.
In an official filing addressed to BSE and NSE, the company stated, “This is to inform you that the Company has opened a new store at Ratan Mall, Agra (Uttar Pradesh) today. The total number of stores as of the date stands at 421.” The store opening is in line with Avenue Supermarts’ ongoing strategy of penetrating key consumer markets across the country.
The new store adds to the company’s existing network, marking another step in its robust expansion trajectory. With the latest addition, Avenue Supermarts strengthens its footprint in northern India, especially in the strategically important state of Uttar Pradesh.
Avenue Supermarts, headquartered in Mumbai, is the company behind the well-known D-Mart retail chain. D-Mart operates as a national supermarket chain, providing a wide selection of home and personal products under one roof. The store focuses on offering a broad range of items across three main categories: foods, non-foods (FMCG), and general merchandise, including apparel.

As of 18 June 2025, 12:05 PM, Avenue Supermarts share price trades at ₹4,185.20 per share with a surge of 3.11% from its previous closing price. Over the month, the stock has declined by 0.51%. The 52-week high and 52-week low of the stock stand at ₹5,485.85 and ₹3,340.00 per share, respectively.
