In a strategic move aimed at bolstering its renewable energy capabilities, ACME Solar has initiated one of the largest Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) procurements in India. With an order exceeding 3.1 GWh, this milestone highlights the company’s commitment to clean energy deployment and grid reliability across the country.
ACME Solar has placed an order of more than 3.1 GWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) from global leaders Zhejiang Narada and Trina Energy, known for their high efficiency and scalable storage solutions. This initiative will support BESS deployment across ACME’s renewable energy projects including FDRE (Firm & Dispatchable Renewable Energy) and battery-linked ventures. These projects are expected to be commissioned over the next 12 to 18 months across several Indian states.
The delivery of the BESS will occur in a phased manner over the next 4 to 8 months within the current fiscal year. The company confirmed that the order value remains within the pre-set budget, allowing ACME Solar to maintain overall capital expenditure efficiency. Additionally, the early procurement is expected to accelerate execution timelines and aid in timely revenue realization.
The BESS systems ordered by ACME Solar meet international standards including IEC and UL, ensuring top-tier safety, performance, and reliability. This procurement further solidifies the company’s reputation for pioneering clean energy solutions and supporting grid stability in India’s fast-growing renewable sector.
ACME Solar’s diversified energy portfolio spans 6,970 MW of capacity, including 550 MWh in storage, across solar, wind, FDRE, and hybrid formats. Of this, 2,890 MW is already operational, while 4,080 MW is under various stages of implementation. With robust in-house EPC and O&M capabilities, the company is recognized for delivering cost-effective and timely project completions, marked by industry-leading capacity utilization factors and operating margins.
