Vidya Wires IPO Details

Vidya Wires is launching an IPO worth ₹300.01 crore, which includes a fresh issue of ₹274 crore and an offer for sale of ₹26.01 crore. The IPO will open on December 3, 2025, and close on December 5, with allotment expected on December 8 and a tentative listing on December 10 on both BSE and NSE. 

The price band for the issue is ₹48–₹52 per share, and investors must apply for a minimum lot of 288 shares, requiring ₹14,976 at the upper price. For NIIs, the minimum application size is 14 lots for sNII and 67 lots for bNII. Pantomath Capital Advisors is the lead manager, and MUFG Intime India is the registrar for the IPO. 

Vidya Wires IPO Objectives 

  1. ₹1,400 million will be used to fund capital expenditure for setting up a new project in the subsidiary ALCU.
  2. ₹1,000 million will be used for repayment or prepayment of certain outstanding borrowings of the company.
  3. The remaining amount (up to 25% of gross proceeds) will be used for general corporate purposes.

The Vidya Wires IPO is a book-built issue of ₹300.01 crore, comprising a fresh issue of 5.27 crore shares worth ₹274.00 crore and an offer for sale of 0.50 crore shares worth ₹26.01 crore.

The IPO opens on Dec 3, 2025, and closes on Dec 5, 2025, with allotment expected on Dec 8, 2025. Listing on BSE and NSE is tentatively scheduled for Dec 10, 2025.

The price band is set at ₹48–₹52 per share. The lot size is 288 shares, requiring a minimum investment of ₹14,976 for retail investors. For S-HNI, the minimum is 4,032 shares (₹2,09,664), and for B-HNI, 19,296 shares (₹10,03,392). 

Pantomath Capital Advisors is the BRLM, and MUFG Intime India is the registrar.

About Vidya Wires 

Vidya Wires is a manufacturer of winding and conductivity products used in sectors like power transmission, electrical systems, clean energy, electric vehicles, railways, and general engineering. Their product range includes enameled wires, insulated copper conductors, copper busbars, PV ribbons, aluminium strips, and many other specialised wires.

The company is the 4th largest player in India with a 5.7% market share in FY25 and operates with a strong installed capacity of 19,680 MTPA, which it plans to expand to 37,680 MTPA through a new manufacturing unit under its subsidiary ALCU. Capacity utilisation has grown from 70% in FY23 to 94.5% by June 2025, supported by rising production volumes and diversified demand.

Vidya Wires serves 400+ customers across India and international markets, with no single customer contributing more than 9% of revenue. It operates with over 8,000 SKUs, sells to 18+ countries, and generates most revenue from the power, transmission, electrical, and engineering sectors. The company is certified with ISO quality, safety, and environmental standards and sources about 25% of its power from renewable energy, reflecting its focus on sustainable operations.

  2. In 2023, India consumed around 1,266 kt (kilotonnes) of insulated metallic wire and cable (nearly 6% of global consumption).
