Upper Circuit Stocks Today – Stocks Locked in Upper Circuit on 20 September, 2023

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with the Sensex down around 570 points or 0.85% at 67,028 and the Nifty-50 down around 164 points or 0.81% at 19,970. About 1,435 shares have advanced, 1,880 declined, and 186 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex Index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Axis Bank, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd and Reliance Industries Ltd.

The BSE Consumer Durables Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Financial Services Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Consumer Durables Index soared 0.22%, led by Blue Star Ltd and Whirlpool of India Ltd while the BSE Financial Services Index was down 1.05% dragged down by HDFC Bank and UCO Bank. 

The indices in the broader markets were trading lower, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.22% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.30%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were JSW Energy Ltd and Mahindra & Mahindra Finance Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were AGI Greenpac Ltd and Chaman Lal Setia Exports Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Karnataka Bank Ltd, Apar Industries Ltd and IFCI Ltd.
