On April 26, 2024, Nifty 50 and Sensex declined 0.67% and 0.82% to 22,419 and 73,730, respectively. Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) sold securities worth around ₹3,408 crore, while domestic investors bought shares worth ₹4,356 crore.
On the sectoral front, Nifty Consumer Durables, Nifty Media, Nifty Mid Small Healthcare and Nifty Pharma closed in green. Meanwhile, Nifty Financial Services, Nifty Financial Services 25/50, Nifty Bank and Nifty Private Bank were seen declining. The top gainers were Tech Mahindra, Havells India, IRFC, and Divi’s Laboratories, which showed positive movement. On the other hand, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, IndusInd Bank and Nestle India were the top losers of the day.
