Share Market Pre Open Updates – April 29, 2024

On April 26, 2024, Nifty 50 and Sensex declined 0.67% and 0.82% to 22,419 and 73,730, respectively. Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) sold securities worth around ₹3,408 crore, while domestic investors bought shares worth ₹4,356 crore. 

Top Gainers and Losers

On the sectoral front, Nifty Consumer Durables, Nifty Media, Nifty Mid Small Healthcare and Nifty Pharma closed in green. Meanwhile, Nifty Financial Services, Nifty Financial Services 25/50, Nifty Bank and Nifty Private Bank were seen declining. The top gainers were Tech Mahindra, Havells India, IRFC, and Divi’s Laboratories, which showed positive movement. On the other hand, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, IndusInd Bank and Nestle India were the top losers of the day.

Stocks In The News

Bata India and Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) were in the news on April 26, 2024.

• Bata India has approved the sale of its Faridabad land. After this news, the company’s share price increased by 0.89%, closing at ₹1,361. 
• Housing and Urban Development Corporation was up 15% intraday, the highest since its listing date. Overall, HUDCO rose by 12% to ₹227.
