Share Market Pre Open Updates – June 27, 2024

On June 26, 2024, the Nifty 50 rose by 0.62% and closed at 23,868, and the Sensex grew by 0.80%, closing at 78,674. 

Top Gainers and Losers

On the sectoral front, Nifty Media, Nifty Oil and Gas, Nifty Private Bank, and Nifty Bank ended in the green. Meanwhile, Nifty Metal, Nifty Realty, Nifty Auto, and Nifty Consumer Durables declined. The top gainers were Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, Godrej Consumer Products Limited, and UltraTech Cement, which showed positive movement. On the other hand, Vedanta Limited, Apollo Hospitals, Zomato, and Mahindra and Mahindra were the top losers of the day.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders and Vedanta Limited were in the news on June 26, 2024.

• Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders have received  “Navratna” from the Department of Public Enterprises. As a result, the share price rose 7.5% and touched a new record high of ₹4,271.
• The shares of Vedanta Limited dropped 4% after a block deal of ₹7,485 crore, translating into the sale of a 4.6% stake.
