The top Sensex gainers were Power Grid Corporation of India, NTPC Ltd and ITC Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Bajaj FinServ Ltd, Tata Consultancy Ltd and Infosys Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.11% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.07%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Power Finance Corporation of India Ltd and REC Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Tourism Finance Corporation of India Ltd and PC Jeweller Ltd
The BSE Healthcare Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Information Technology Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Healthcare Index soared 0.20% led by Syncom Formulations (India) Ltd and Wockhardt Ltd while the BSE IT Index was down 1.50% dragged down by Sonata Software Ltd and 63 Moons Technologies Ltd.
