Transrail Lighting Limited share price made a strong debut on the stock exchanges on Friday, December 27, 2024. The shares listed at ₹585.15 per share on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), reflecting a 35.45% premium over the issue price of ₹432. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the shares opened at ₹590 per share, a 36.5% premium over the issue price.
Transrail Lighting’s initial public offering (IPO) raised ₹838.91 crore. It included a fresh issue of 9.3 crore shares worth ₹400 crore and an OFS (offer for sale) of 10.2 million shares worth ₹438.91 crore from the promoter, Ajanma Holdings Pvt Ltd. The IPO was available in a price band of ₹410-432 per share, with a lot size of 34 shares. The offering was highly oversubscribed, with an oversubscription of 80.80 times, as per NSE data.
The funds raised from the Transrail Lighting’s IPO will be used to meet incremental working capital needs, support capital expenditures, and for general corporate purposes.
Transrail Lighting is a leading Indian engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, specialising in the power transmission and distribution sector. The company also manufactures lattice structures, conductors, and monopoles.
