Tesla, the world’s leading electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has finally launched its much-awaited Model Y in India. The all-electric SUV is available in two variants – Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (LR RWD). However, Tesla has yet to introduce the Long-Range All-Wheel Drive version in India.

The Model Y promises an exciting entry into the Indian EV market, offering both cutting-edge technology and luxury in a single package.

  • The Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹59.89 lakh.
  • The Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive is priced at ₹67.89 lakh ex-showroom.

While the prices may seem steep, the taxes and additional charges in India make up a significant part of the final on-road price. Let’s take a closer look at the tax structure that comes with purchasing a Tesla Model Y in India.
