
Shares of Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO) saw a notable surge on October 1, 2025, with the stock climbing as much as 5.1% to touch an intraday high of ₹235.24.
As of 13:29 IST, HUDCO share price was ₹232.70 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), marking a 4.06% rise. The spike came after strong buying activity following the release of the company’s September quarter (Q2 FY26) business update.
The rise in HUDCO’s share price was largely driven by its robust loan performance. For the half-year ended September 30, 2025, the company reported provisional loan sanctions of ₹92,709.60 crore, against the total financial year target of ₹1,27,952 crore for FY25.
Loan disbursements for the half-year reached ₹25,838.45 crore, with Q2 alone accounting for ₹13,026.19 crore. This represented a 43.55% increase compared to ₹9,074.26 crore in the same quarter last year, signalling strong business momentum.
Over the last five trading sessions, HUDCO shares had experienced a slight decline of 0.82%. However, the stock demonstrated resilience with a 9.92% gain over the past month and a 12.55% increase over the past six months.
On a year-to-date basis, the stock fell 2.30%, showing moderate volatility. HUDCO recorded a 52-week high of ₹262.70 on 17 December 2024 and a low of ₹158.85 on 3 March 2025. As of 1 October 2025, the company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹46,540.17 crore.
HUDCO’s solid share performance follows encouraging results in Q1 FY26. The company posted a 13% year-on-year growth in net profit at ₹630.23 crore, up from ₹557.75 crore in Q1 FY25.
Total revenue rose by 34% year-on-year to ₹2,945.47 crore from ₹2,197.19 crore, while Net Interest Income (NII) grew 33.4%, reaching ₹948 crore. HUDCO also declared a first interim dividend of ₹1.15 per share for FY26, underlining its financial health.
