Piramal Enterprises Ltd. has invested ₹700 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary, Piramal Finance Limited (PFL), through a rights issue. The transaction was disclosed in a regulatory filing dated June 27, 2025.

Use of Funds

The capital will be used by Piramal Finance for general business and corporate purposes. No change will occur in the shareholding structure, as Piramal Enterprises already holds 100% equity in PFL.

Since the investment is between a parent company and its wholly owned subsidiary, it is not treated as a related party transaction under existing SEBI regulations. The promoter group’s involvement remains limited to their existing stake in Piramal Enterprises.

Piramal Finance Revenue Performance

PFL’s revenue from operations stood at ₹6,59,178 lakh in FY23. This increased slightly to ₹6,66,356 lakh in FY24, followed by a larger jump to ₹8,17,948 lakh in FY25, as per the company’s filing.

Piramal Finance Limited was formerly known as Piramal Capital & Housing Finance Limited. It operates as a non-banking financial company under Piramal Enterprises.

Piramal Enterprises Share Price Performance

As of 09:57 AM on June 30, 2025, Piramal Enterprises share price was trading at ₹1,149.20, a 0.07% increase, up 3.78% over 6 months, and 24.23% over the past year.
