NTPC Limited, India’s leading power generation company, has reached another milestone in its renewable energy expansion. The company has successfully declared the entire 245 MW capacity of Plot-3 at its Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan as commercially operational. This step is in line with NTPC’s strategic focus on clean energy under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II, Tranche-III.

Final 52 MW Capacity Declared Operational

According to the disclosure made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, NTPC announced that the second and last part capacity of 52 MW out of 245 MW at Plot-3 of its Nokh Solar PV Project was declared on commercial operation with effect from 00:00 hrs. on 22nd June 2025.

 

The statement issued reads: "We would like to inform you that consequent upon successful commissioning, the 2nd & last part capacity of 52 MW out of 245 MW capacity at Plot-3 of NTPC's Nokh Solar PV Project (3x245MW), Rajasthan, is declared on Commercial Operation w.e.f. 00:00 Hrs. of 22.06.2025.”

Capacity Growth Strengthens NTPC’s Renewable Position

This follows the earlier declaration of the first part capacity of 193 MW, which was commissioned and declared operational from 00:00 hrs. on 9th June 2025. With this, the total standalone and group commercial capacity of NTPC has increased to 60,318 MW and 81,420 MW, respectively. The total standalone and group installed capacity has now reached 60,978 MW and 82,080 M,W respectively.

NTPC Share Price Performance 

As of 23 June 2025 10:30 AM, NTPC shares are trading at ₹332.00 per share, a 0.95% decrease. Over the month, the stock has declined by 3.66%.
