On July 7, 2025, the Nifty Smallcap 100 is trading at 18,943.10 at 11:50 AM, indicating a fall of 0.47% as compared to the previous close of Nifty Smallcap 100 on July 4, 2025.
In the past 1 and 5 years, Nifty Smallcap 100 has generated a total return of 4.89% and 32.92%, respectively. Since its inception, the index recorded a total return of 16.05%.
IIFL Finance, BLS International, Nuvama Wealth, International Germological Institute and Atul Limited were the top gainers. On the other hand, Aster DM, Sagility, Natco Pharma, Garden Reach Shipbuilders, and Ramco Cement were the top losers.
On July 7, the Indian equities, after a quiet start, continue to trade in the path with minimal movement. The Nifty index is trading at around 25,450 while maintaining a minor deficit. The Sensex index is also trading around 83,350.
At the Nifty end, Tech Mahindra, Eternal, Bharat Electronics, and Ultratech stocks were trading with a dip of over 1%.
The FMCG stocks look strong, making healthy gains in the trading session. Dabur and Godrej Consumer shares jumped.
Defence stocks, after rallying in previous sessions, are in decline. Barring a minor moment of relief, the defence stocks have largely traded in red. Meanwhile, the PSU banking stocks have held a corner on the decline. Some of the big gainer include Jaiprakash Power, with a surge of over 13%, along with Senco and PC Jewellers.

Comprising 100 actively traded stocks listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the index offers a representative snapshot of emerging and growth-oriented companies. As of March 28, 2025, the Nifty Smallcap 100 accounted for approximately 4.77% of the free-float market capitalisation of all NSE-listed stocks.
