SBI Mutual Fund has launched the SBI Nifty200 Quality 30 Index Fund, an open-ended passive scheme. The New Fund Offer (NFO) will remain open from May 16, 2025, to May 29, 2025.
The fund tracks the Nifty200 Quality 30 Index, which consists of 30 companies selected from the broader Nifty 200 based on quality factors. These include return on equity, financial leverage (debt-to-equity ratio), and earnings growth variability, calculated over a 5-year period.
The index caps each stock's weight at 5% to maintain balance.
The fund’s objective is to generate returns that align with the performance of the underlying index, subject to tracking error. There is no guarantee that the objective will be met. The scheme will invest between 95%–100% of its portfolio in index stocks and up to 5% in government securities, treasury bills, tri-party repos, or units of liquid mutual funds.
The minimum application amount during the NFO is ₹5,000, with additional investments allowed in multiples of ₹1,000. SIPs (Systematic Investment Plans) are available in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual modes. There is no lock-in period, and an Exit Load applicable 0.25% for redemption within 15 days. This plan offers Growth, IDCW option.
The scheme will be managed by Viral Chhadva, who also oversees other index and ETF products at SBI Mutual Fund.
SBI Mutual Fund is currently the largest asset management company in India, with assets under management exceeding ₹11 lakh crore as of April 30, 2025. The AMC is a joint venture between the State Bank of India and Amundi, a global asset management company.

The SBI Nifty200 Quality 30 Index Fund adds to the fund house’s existing passive offerings, with a structure that follows predefined metrics to invest in selected companies from the Nifty 200 universe.
