Namma Yatri, a zero-commission mobility platform, has facilitated over ₹1,600 crore in total earnings for drivers, as per news reports. The platform, which allows auto and taxi drivers to receive the full fare amount without any deductions, has distributed this amount across more than 6 lakh drivers.
Of the 100 million rides completed, nearly 85 million were from Bengaluru alone, making it the top contributing city. Kolkata followed with around 10 million rides. The remaining rides were spread across other participating cities. The platform has a registered user base of more than 12.2 million as per its official website. These users include both regular and occasional commuters using the service in urban areas.
Namma Yatri operates using the Beckn protocol and is part of the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) ecosystem. These protocols are to support open and interoperable digital commerce across platforms. The service runs on a no-commission model. Drivers receive the full payment made by the rider, without the platform taking any share. This model contrasts with traditional ride-hailing platforms.
Ride and usage data are published on a publicly accessible dashboard. This includes metrics such as the number of rides, driver participation, and fare distributions. The data is updated regularly to reflect platform activity across locations.
The platform has announced plans to expand its technology infrastructure using AI-based systems. These developments are aimed at improving mobility services and supporting new city rollouts. This open, community-led, AI-powered infrastructure is already the backbone of applications like Yatri Sathi in Bengal, Odisha Yatri, and Kerala Savaari, all sharing the same open mobility foundation.
With over 100 million rides completed and ₹1,600 crore in direct earnings for drivers, Namma Yatri continues to operate as a zero-commission alternative in India’s urban mobility space, while expanding its user base and presence across cities.
