Meghna Infracon Infrastructure Limited has announced a bonus issue of equity shares in the ratio of 1:1. The decision was approved by the company's members, reflecting the company's commitment to rewarding shareholders and enhancing investor value.
According to the announcement, the company will issue 1 (One) fully paid-up Bonus Equity Share of ₹10 each for every 1 (One) existing fully paid-up Equity Share of ₹10 each held by its shareholders. This effectively doubles the shareholder's equity holdings without requiring any additional investment.
The Board of Directors has approved and fixed July 08, 2025, as the Record Date for determining the eligibility of shareholders entitled to receive the bonus shares. Investors whose names appear in the Register of Members as of the close of business on this date will be eligible for the bonus allotment.
The bonus shares will be issued by capitalising amounts from the Securities Premium Account, Free Reserves, or other permitted reserves/surplus available in the company’s books. This approach ensures that the issuance does not affect the company’s liquidity position while boosting shareholder confidence.
The bonus shares allotted will rank pari-passu in all respects with the existing fully paid-up equity shares. This means they will carry the same rights, including voting rights and eligibility for dividends, as the existing shares.
On July 7, 2025, Meghna Infracon Infrastructure share price opened at ₹1133.45 and closed at ₹1121.25, down by 0.59%, on the BSE. The stock price touched its day’s low at ₹1105.00.
