RITES Limited, a leading transport infrastructure consultancy and engineering company, has announced the receipt of a significant domestic order from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). The order pertains to the maintenance and operation of railway infrastructure at the Mejia Thermal Power Station in West Bengal.
Order Details
The contract involves annual maintenance of railway siding tracks, operation and maintenance of signalling and telecommunication (S&T) systems, and the handling of 25KV OHE isolators and associated systems at DVC’s Mejia Thermal Power Station.
Valued at ₹36.227 crore (excluding GST), the contract is to be executed over a period of 730 days from the commencement of work. RITES confirmed that this is a domestic order, not related to any promoter group or related-party transaction.
Strategic Importance
The order strengthens RITES’ presence in the power sector’s railway infrastructure operations. By securing this long-term engagement, the company continues to demonstrate its expertise in integrated railway solutions, covering track maintenance, signalling, and electrification systems.
