Marico Ltd, a major FMCG player, witnessed a dip in its share price on June 13, 2025, after Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) sold over 2% of its stake in the company through market transactions. The news impacted investor sentiment and triggered a short-term drop in the stock.

LIC Reduces Stake in Marico

Marico announced via an exchange filing that LIC sold 2,57,73,028 shares, which equals 2.006% of its holding, between June 5, 2021, and June 11, 2025. After this sale, LIC now holds 3,88,76,829 shares, or a 3% stake in the company.

As of June 13, 2025, Marico share price is ₹691.40, down 0.15% for the day. The stock opened at ₹684.80, touched a high of ₹693.55 and a low of ₹681.85.
