M&M Boosts Stake in Mahindra Lifespaces to 52.43% Through ₹257 Rights Issue

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) has increased its stake in Mahindra Lifespaces Developers Ltd (MLDL) to 52.43%. This was done through participation in MLDL’s recently concluded rights issue, where fully paid-up equity shares were offered at ₹257 per share, including a ₹247 premium over the face value of ₹10.

Share Allotment and Committee Approval

A total of 5,81,53,156 shares were allotted by MLDL on June 18, 2025, as approved by its Rights Issue Committee. Out of this, M&M received 3,24,86,158 shares, which will be credited to its demat account in line with SEBI guidelines issued on March 11, 2025.

Post-Issue Shareholding Rises

M&M’s total shareholding in MLDL has increased from 7.93 crore to 11.18 crore shares, raising its ownership from 51.14% to 52.43%.

Mahindra Lifespaces' Business Operations

Mahindra Lifespaces, along with its subsidiaries and joint ventures, develops residential and industrial real estate. This includes integrated cities and industrial clusters.

For FY25, Mahindra Lifespaces reported:

  • Revenue from operations: ₹372.27 crore
  • Net worth (as of March 31, 2025): ₹1,896.10 crore

Mahindra & Mahindra Share Price Movement

On June 19, 2025, Mahindra & Mahindra share price closed at ₹3,089.00, up by ₹47.90 or 1.58%. The stock opened at ₹3,038.00 and touched a high of ₹3,106.90 and a low of ₹3,034.20 during the day. The company has a market capitalisation of ₹3.71 lakh crore, a P/E ratio of 26.85, and offers a dividend yield of 0.82%. Its 52-week high stands at ₹3,270.95 and the 52-week low is ₹2,425.00. The quarterly dividend amount is ₹6.33 per share.
