In a major boost to the sport of table tennis in India, IndianOil Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) has announced a 3-year broadcast partnership with JioStar, one of the country’s leading sports broadcasters. This collaboration is set to revolutionise the way table tennis is consumed by audiences, offering live, multilingual coverage across both television and digital platforms until 2027.
IndianOil Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) has entered a landmark 3-year agreement with JioStar, one of India’s top sports broadcasters, in a strategic move to enhance the sport’s visibility and popularity nationwide. As the Official Broadcast and Streaming Partner, JioStar will deliver exclusive, live multilingual coverage of UTT matches on both television and digital platforms through 2027.
Season 6 will be telecast live on Star Sports 2, Star Sports Khel, and Star Sports Tamil, while streaming will be available in English, Hindi, and Tamil on JioHotstar. The partnership aims to expand the league’s reach by leveraging JioStar’s extensive network, connecting fans across the country and promoting table tennis as a mainstream sport.
The league will spotlight emerging Indian talents such as Diya Chitale, Payas Jain, Ankur Bhattacharjee, and Yashaswini Ghorpade, alongside international stars like Olympians Aruna Quadri, Alvaro Robles, Bernadette Szocs, Adriana Diaz, and China’s Fan Siqi. Indian stalwarts, including Manika Batra, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, Harmeet Desai, and Sreeja Akula, will also be in action, ensuring a competitive and entertaining season.
Featuring 48 elite players, Season 6 includes eight franchises: Ahmedabad SG Pipers, Chennai Lions, Dabang Delhi TTC, Dempo Goa Challengers TT, Jaipur Patriots, Kolkata ThunderBlades, PBG Pune Jaguars, and U Mumba TT. Reigning champions Dempo Goa Challengers, led by Harmeet Desai, are aiming for a historic third consecutive title. Pre-season coverage begins on 12 May with team previews and player profiles on JioHotstar and Star Sports.
