JioBlackRock Asset Management, the 50:50 joint venture between Jio Financial Services and BlackRock, has launched its official website and shared details of its executive leadership team. This comes ahead of the company’s mutual fund product rollout.
The company has started an early access initiative through its website. Individuals can register to get a preview of the platform, which includes educational content covering the basics of investing. The investment functionality will go live once the platform formally launches.
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) gave JioBlackRock final approval to operate as an investment manager for mutual fund operations on May 26, 2025. This follows the in-principle approval granted on October 4, 2024. The joint venture had earlier incorporated 2 entities, JioBlackRock Asset Management Private Limited and JioBlackRock Trustee Private Limited, on October 28, 2024, to carry out its mutual fund business.

Sid Swaminathan has been appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of JioBlackRock Asset Management. He has over 20 years of experience in the asset management industry. Before this, he headed International Index Equity at BlackRock, managing $1.25 trillion in assets. He also held leadership roles in fixed income portfolio management for Europe, focusing on systematic and indexed strategies.
The company has stated it will introduce a range of mutual fund offerings in the coming months. These products are expected to be built using BlackRock’s data and investment capacity, while distribution will be supported by Jio’s digital infrastructure.
As of 10:49 am on June 10, 2025, Jio Financial Services share price stood at ₹304.80, up by 0.18%. The stock has declined 9.04% over the past 6 months and 13.00% over the past year.
With regulatory approvals in place, leadership appointed, and early access launched, JioBlackRock AMC has begun laying the groundwork for its mutual fund business.
