Jio Financial Services Ltd, as per exchange filing, has scheduled a board meeting on July 30, 2025, to discuss plans for raising capital. The company said it will evaluate different routes, including equity shares, warrants, rights issues, preferential allotments, and qualified institutional placements.
The issue price and terms will be finalised subject to regulatory approvals.
Jio Financial reported a consolidated net profit of ₹325 crore for the April-June 2025 quarter. This is a 4% increase compared to ₹313 crore in the same period last year. Total income rose to ₹619 crore from ₹418 crore in Q1 FY25.
Interest income more than doubled to ₹363 crore during the quarter, up from ₹162 crore in the same period last year. Total expenses also saw a sharp increase, going from ₹79 crore to ₹261 crore year-on-year.
During the quarter, Jio Financial acquired 7.9 crore equity shares of Jio Payments Bank Ltd from State Bank of India. The deal, valued at ₹104.54 crore, increased JFSL’s stake in the payments bank. JPBL became a wholly owned subsidiary on June 18, 2025.
The acquisition resulted in a value gain of ₹439.16 crore. This was higher than the goodwill of ₹410.59 crore recorded for the transaction. The difference was classified as an exceptional item in the financial results.
JFSL and BlackRock Advisors Singapore invested ₹63 crore each in Jio BlackRock Asset Management Pvt Ltd during the quarter. They also contributed ₹66.50 crore each to Jio BlackRock Investment Advisers Pvt Ltd. SEBI granted the latter an investment adviser registration on June 10, 2025.

As of 9:20 AM on July 28, 2025, Jio Financial Services share price was trading at ₹309.50, a 0.56% decrease.
The announcement was made in an exchange filing on July 26, 2025. The company stated that the board will consider all available options for funding, including combinations of the above methods, depending on requirements and compliance.
