ITC has announced its biggest dividend in nearly 5 years, along with its Q4FY25 results. Here’s a simple breakdown of the key things investors need to know:

Total Dividend of ₹14.35 Per Share in FY25

ITC will pay a total dividend of ₹14.35 per share for FY25. This includes:

  • ₹6.50 as an interim dividend (already paid)
  • ₹7.85 as a final dividend (just announced)

This is the highest annual dividend by ITC since 2020. If shareholders approve it at the company’s 114th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on July 25, 2025, the final dividend will be paid out between July 28 and July 31.

Record Date: May 28, 2025

To receive the final dividend, investors must own ITC shares by May 28, 2025, which is the official record date. If your name is on the shareholder list on that day, you’ll be eligible for the ₹7.85 payout.

Dividend Payment Timeline

Once approved at the AGM on July 25, the final dividend of ₹7.85 will be credited between July 28 and July 31 to eligible shareholders.

Q4 FY25 Results: Modest Profit Growth

ITC Ltd posted a consolidated net profit of ₹19,727 crore in Q4, but ₹15,179 crore of that was from a one-time gain related to the ITC Hotels demerger. Excluding that, the actual net profit was ₹4,875 crore, up just 0.8% YoY.

The company’s standalone revenue for the quarter rose to ₹18,494 crore, from ₹16,907 crore in Q4FY24.

After the announcement, ITC share price rose 3% intraday. Over the past month, the stock has gained 1.65%. With a market cap of ₹5.48 lakh crore, ITC continues to be a strong player, trading between a 52-week high of ₹528.50 and a low of ₹390.15.

ITC’s dividend move reflects its solid financial position and commitment to rewarding shareholders, even as its core profit growth remained moderate this quarter.

Conclusion

With a strong dividend payout and steady financials, ITC continues to reward shareholders even amid moderate profit growth. The upcoming AGM will be key for the final dividend approval, giving long-term investors another reason to stay invested.
