Announced during the Snapdragon for India XR Day on July 21, 2025, in New Delhi, Lenskart’s partnership with Qualcomm will integrate Snapdragon chips into their next line of smart glasses. Likely candidates include the Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 for immersive augmented reality or W5 Gen 1 for lighter AI functionalities. These chips are designed for efficient, low-power AR and AI performance, which means precise voice assistance, natural computing and smoother connectivity features.
Lenskart’s previous tech-wearable, the “Phonic” smart glasses, launched in February 2025 for ₹4,000, offered functions such as Bluetooth audio and voice control. The next generation will significantly upgrade these basics. Powered by Snapdragon, features could include real-time language translation, gesture recognition and heads-up notifications, making smart eyewear more practical and immersive.
