Refined sugar shipments stood at 81,845 tonnes, while raw sugar exports reached 25,382 tonnes during the same period. Additionally, AISTA reported that approximately 23,219 tonnes of sugar are currently under loading, indicating continued export activity.
The majority of India's sugar exports have been directed towards several countries, with Somalia emerging as the top recipient. Shipments to Somalia totalled 1,18,553 tonnes. Following Somalia, Sri Lanka received 76,401 tonnes of sugar, Afghanistan imported 72,833 tonnes, and Djibouti accounted for 69,609 tonnes of the total exports undertaken so far.
