On October 1, 2025, the automakers announced their sales figures for September 2025, reflecting overall growth across the automobile industry. Passenger vehicle manufacturers Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) reported notable increases, with M&M registering an impressive 47% growth.
In FY25, total production across all vehicle categories, including passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers, and quadricycles, reached 3,10,34,174 units. Specifically, in March 2025 alone, production of passenger vehicles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers, and quadricycles totalled 24,76,915 units.
India's automobile exports also saw strong momentum, rising by 19% in FY25 to over 5.3 million units, fueled by robust international demand for passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, and commercial vehicles.
