Ericsson has signed a strategic Managed Services agreement with Bharti Airtel that will see the telecom major’s network operations across India managed through Ericsson’s intent-based NOC model. This strengthens a 25-year-old partnership and underlines both companies’ commitment to modernising telecom operations.
The contract reinforces Ericsson’s role in managing critical telecom infrastructure for Airtel. The Swedish telecom gear maker will operate a centralised Network Operations Centre (NOC) to oversee Airtel’s services in 4G, 5G NSA, 5G SA, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), Private Networks, and Network Slicing.
The managed services model is aimed at delivering improved network efficiency, faster time to market, and a superior customer experience.
