On January 28, 2025, BSE share price traded 3.05% lower at ₹5,275. at 12:59 PM (IST). The BSE share price reached a 52-week high of ₹6,133.40 on January 20, 2025, and a 52-week low of ₹1,941.05 on March 19, 2024. As per BSE, the total traded volume for the stock stood at 20.29 lakh shares with a turnover of ₹1072.57 crore.
At the current price, BSE shares are trading at a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 100.19x, based on its trailing 12-month earnings per share (EPS) of ₹61.01, and a price-to-book (P/B) ratio of 19.87, according to exchange data.
As of December 31, 2024, Public held a 50% stake in BSE shares, while Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) owned 16%, and Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) held 12.01%.
Leading stock exchange BSE Ltd has reported a threefold increase in its net profit for the September quarter of FY25, reaching ₹346 crore, compared to ₹118 crore in the same period last year.
The robust performance was supported by a significant rise in total revenues, which more than doubled to ₹819 crore from ₹367 crore in the year-ago quarter, the company announced on Tuesday.
BSE achieved its best-ever half-yearly revenue and profit figures, with revenues of ₹1,493 crore and a net profit of ₹610 crore for the first half of FY25, according to Sundararaman Ramamurthy, Managing Director and CEO of the exchange.
The exchange’s performance was further boosted by a sharp increase in trading activity. The average daily turnover in the equity cash segment surged to ₹9,768 crore during the second quarter of FY25, up from ₹5,922 crore in the same quarter last year.
BSE’s strong financial results reflect its continued efforts to expand market participation and capitalise on growing trading activity across segments.
