Birla Corporation Limited has been named the preferred bidder for the Tadas limestone block-II in Nagaur district, Rajasthan. The announcement was made via a notification issued by the Director of Mines & Geology, Government of Rajasthan, on July 10, 2025.
The block spans an area of 160.3882 hectares. Birla Corporation secured it with the highest final price offer of 63.50%. The official communication confirming the award was received by the company on July 10, 2025.
This follows a similar outcome last month, when Birla Corporation was declared the preferred bidder for the Gourum Khan Ki Dhani (South) limestone block in Jaisalmer. The notification for this was dated June 12, 2025.
The Jaisalmer block covers approximately 499.64 hectares. As per the bid terms, Birla Corporation will pay 20.60% of the value of the extracted limestone to the state government as part of its revenue share model.

In the 4th quarter ending March 31, 2025, Birla Corporation posted a net profit of ₹256.6 crore. This marked a 32.8% increase from the ₹193.3 crore reported in the same quarter last year.
Revenue from operations stood at ₹2,815 crore, up 6.1% from ₹2,654 crore a year earlier. EBITDA rose to ₹534 crore from ₹472 crore, reflecting a growth of 13.1%. The EBITDA margin expanded from 17.8% to 19%.
On July 11, 2025, at 10:10 AM, Birla Corporation share price was trading at ₹1,401.90, a 0.81% increase.
Birla Corporation has now been selected as the preferred bidder for 2 limestone blocks in Rajasthan, Nagaur and Jaisalmer, within a span of one month.
