BDL share price fell by 3.33 % to ₹1,919 on the NSE, making it one of the top losers on the Nifty Midcap 150 index during Thursday's trading session. The drop came despite the company posting strong financial results for the quarter and year ending March 2025.
In FY25, Bharat Dynamics reported impressive numbers. Its sales rose to ₹3,345 crore from ₹2,369 crore in FY24. The total income reached ₹3,695 crore, while total expenditure stood at ₹2,943 crore. This led to an EBIT (Earnings Before Interest and Tax) of ₹752 crore. The net profit for the year was ₹549 crore, showing a stable performance.
The quarter ending March 2025 was particularly strong for BDL. Sales rose sharply to ₹1,776 crore from ₹832 crore in the previous quarter (Dec 2024). The net profit also jumped to ₹272 crore, compared to ₹147 crore in the December quarter. This indicates strong growth in business activity.
BDL continues to reward its shareholders. It declared an interim dividend of ₹4.00 per share (80%) on February 6, 2025. For the full year, the dividend per share was ₹4.65. The company’s EPS (Earnings Per Share) for FY25 was ₹14.99, and the book value per share stood at ₹109.37.
The company reported zero debt, giving it a healthy debt-to-equity ratio of 0.00. Its interest coverage ratio was 248.64, indicating strong ability to meet financial obligations. However, the net cash flow for FY25 was negative ₹459 crore, due to outflows from investing and financing activities.

Despite a fall in its share price, Bharat Dynamics has posted strong quarterly and annual results. With increasing sales, solid profits, and no debt, the company remains financially sound. Investors may view this price dip as a short-term market movement rather than a reflection of the company’s fundamentals.
