Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Government of India enterprise operating under the Ministry of Defence, has secured a significant order from Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL). The contract involves the supply of an Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) system, valued at ₹809 crore (gross). This order is set to be delivered within a span of 3 years.
The order doesn't fall within related party transactions, and there are no promoter/ promoter group/group companies involved in the entity that awarded the order.
Recently, Bharat Dynamics Limited has undergone a significant change in its board composition. The Ministry of Defence has approved the appointment of Ms Meera Mohanty as the new Part-Time Official Director (Government Director).
She replaces Mr Amit Satija in this role, with the change taking effect from 14th July 2025. Ms Mohanty is a senior bureaucrat currently serving as Joint Secretary (P&C) in the Department of Defence Production. The change reflects the government's ongoing oversight and involvement in key public sector undertakings. BDL remains committed to maintaining transparency and adhering to all regulatory guidelines during such transitions.
