Bajaj Allianz Unveils India's First State-Specific Health Insurance Plans

Bajaj Allianz General Insurance has launched a health insurance product tailored to each Indian state and Union Territory. Called the ‘State-wise Health Insurance Policy,’ the plans are based on factors like local treatment costs, availability of healthcare infrastructure, and common medical conditions in each region.
The product is currently available across 25 states and 5 Union Territories. Each version carries a regional name, for example, AapKe Liye in Hindi-speaking areas and Mee Kosam in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Policy Structure and Key Inclusions
The plans are available in both individual and floater formats. Sum insured options range from ₹5 lakh to ₹20 lakh. Coverage includes:
- Hospitalisation expenses
- Day care procedures
- Organ donor-related costs
- Advanced treatments like robotic surgery and stem cell therapy
The plans come with no age limit and offer lifetime renewability.
Optional Features and Add-Ons
Several optional benefits are available:
- Unlimited Sum Insured Reinstatement: Allows repeated recharge of the sum insured during a policy year
- Super Cumulative Bonus: Increases sum insured by up to 200% over claim-free years
- Cashless Discount: Reduces premium for cashless-only hospitalisation
- Accidental Death Cover: Provides a fixed payout in case of accidental death
- Festive Bonus: Pays ₹1,000 per day for emergency hospitalisation during festivals (up to 10 days per year)
Wellness-Linked Discounts
The insurer has included step-based premium discounts. A 5% discount applies for walking 7,500 steps a day for 24 days in a month across 9 months. A 10% discount is applicable for completing 10,000 steps daily under the same conditions.

Purchase Channels
Policies can be bought through branches, partner banks, insurance agents, the company website, or the ‘Caringly Yours’ app. Online and family coverage purchases come with additional discounts.
