Ather Energy has introduced a new variant of its family scooter, the Rizta S, with a 3.7kWh battery pack. This is the same battery used in the Rizta Z but comes at a lower price point. The updated Rizta S is priced at ₹1.37 lakh (ex-showroom).
The 3.7kWh battery offers an IDC-certified range of 159 km. It replaces the smaller 2.9kWh battery used in the earlier Rizta S. The motor remains the same, with a top speed of 80 kmph.
Unlike the Rizta Z, which comes with a TFT touchscreen, the new S variant gets a 7-inch DeepView LCD. It includes features like turn-by-turn navigation, AutoHold, Emergency Stop Signal, and theft alerts.
Storage options remain unchanged, with 34 litres under the seat and an optional 22-litre front frunk. The scooter uses a telescopic fork at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear. Braking is managed by a 200mm front disc and 130mm rear drum, with a combined braking system.
The battery is covered under Ather Energy’s Eight70 plan, offering 8 years or 80,000 km of warranty with 70% minimum battery health. The scooter supports home charging and is compatible with Ather Grid, which includes over 3,900 charging points across India.
