Ashok Leyland Limited's Board of Directors has declared and approved an interim dividend of ₹4.25 per equity share of ₹1 each for the financial year ending March 31, 2025.
On May 20, 2025, Ashok Leyland share price (NSE: ASHOKLEY) opened at ₹245.00 and closed at ₹242.36, up by 0.53%. The stock price touched its day’s high at ₹249.54.
Ashok Leyland Limited has announced a Second Interim Dividend of ₹4.25 per equity share of face value ₹1 for the financial year ended March 31, 2025. The dividend will be paid on or before June 14, 2025. As per the company’s earlier communication dated May 13, 2025, the record date for determining eligible shareholders to receive the dividend is Thursday, May 22, 2025.
Ashok Leyland reported a decline in its domestic vehicle sales for April 2025, with total sales falling by 7% to 12,509 units compared to 13,446 units in April 2024. The Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle (M&HCV) segment saw an overall decline of 14%, with M&HCV truck sales dropping by 10% to 5,915 units and M&HCV bus sales declining sharply by 28% to 1,491 units. However, the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment provided some respite, registering a 6% year-on-year growth with sales of 5,103 units.
Including exports, Ashok Leyland sold a total of 13,421 vehicles in April 2025, reflecting a 6% decline compared to 14,271 units in the same month last year. The M&HCV truck category recorded a 9% drop in combined sales, totaling 6,119 units, while M&HCV bus sales declined by 22% to 1,841 units. The total M&HCV sales stood at 7,960 units, down by 13%. The LCV segment continued to perform positively even in the combined figures, posting a 6% increase to 5,461 units.
