Appliance maker Amber Enterprises India Ltd announced that its board has approved an enabling resolution to raise up to ₹2,500 crore by issuing various securities. This decision came during the board meeting held on July 12, 2025.
According to the company’s regulatory filing, the fundraising plan will need approvals from regulators, statutory bodies, and shareholders, who will vote on it at the 35th Annual General Meeting.
In related news, last month Amber’s key subsidiary IL JIN Electronics India Pvt Ltd signed a deal to acquire a majority stake in Power-One Micro Systems Pvt Ltd, a Bengaluru-based company. Although the purchase amount was not revealed, Power-One is known for providing battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar inverters, EV chargers, and UPS solutions.
Amber said Power-One has already sold over 7 lakh products across sectors such as industrial, residential, data centres, defence, railways, and airports. The company believes that IL JIN’s manufacturing expertise, wide production network, and strong R&D capabilities will help Power-One grow faster and expand its product range.
Founded in 1956, Amber Enterprises India Ltd holds a 23.6% share of the overall Room Air Conditioner (RAC) market. The company commands a 29% market share in the RAC segment. It supplies a comprehensive range of products and services for the RAC industry, including fully assembled air conditioners, heat exchangers, fans, condensers, PCBAs, motors, case liners, and other essential components.

As of July 14, 2025, 2:46 PM IST, Amber Enterprises India share price was trading at ₹7,578.50, up ₹112.00 or 1.50% for the day. The stock opened at ₹7,459.00, touched an intraday high of ₹7,609.00 and a low of ₹7,459.00. The company has a market capitalisation of ₹25,680 crore, a P/E ratio of 105.74, and has recorded a 52-week high of ₹8,177.00 and a 52-week low of ₹3,964.00.
Amber Enterprises’ fundraising move highlights its strategy to strengthen its business and drive growth, while the recent acquisition reflects its focus on expanding into energy and technology solutions.
