On May 20, 2025, Bharti Airtel and Google announced a new partnership to provide Airtel customers with access to Google One cloud storage. This service is designed to solve the growing problem of limited storage on smartphones and other devices. As part of the partnership, all Airtel postpaid and Wi-Fi customers will receive 100 GB of Google One cloud storage free for six months. This storage can also be shared with up to five other people.

Addressing the Growing Problem of Limited Storage

The partnership was formed to address the increasing storage challenges that users face today. With more people using their smartphones to take photos, make videos, and store personal documents, devices are running out of space more quickly. The 100 GB Google One cloud storage helps users keep their important files without having to constantly delete content or spend money on extra physical storage like SD cards or hard drives.

In addition, WhatsApp chats on Android are backed up using Google Account storage, which makes it easier to transfer data when switching to a new device. The Google One service works on both Android and iOS devices, so Airtel customers across different platforms can benefit from this offer.

After six months, a nominal fee of ₹125 per month will be automatically added to the customer’s monthly bill if they wish to continue using the service. Customers who do not want to continue the subscription after the free period can choose to cancel and will no longer be part of the Google One membership.
