Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) announced the operationalisation of an incremental 50 MW solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat.
This project was commissioned by its wholly owned subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six Limited, and marks a key milestone in AGEL's journey towards enhancing India’s renewable energy landscape.
With the commissioning of this additional 50 MW capacity, AGEL’s total operational renewable energy generation capacity has now reached 14,340.9 MW. This includes a diversified portfolio of solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects across the country.
The plant was cleared for operationalisation following the necessary regulatory and site approvals. A decision was made early morning at 5:47 a.m. on May 14, 2025, to bring the plant online from May 15, 2025.
Earlier this month, Adani Green Energy announced that its wholly-owned step-down subsidiary, Adani Green Energy Sixty Nine Limited, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL). The agreement is for the supply of 400 MW of solar power from a grid-connected solar PV project to be developed in Rajasthan.
This strategic move strengthens AGEL’s position in the renewable energy sector and supports its long-term vision of achieving 45 GW of renewable capacity by 2030, while also contributing to Uttar Pradesh’s growing clean energy needs.
On May 14, 2025, Adani Green Energy share price (NSE: ADANIGREEN) opened at ₹966.00, up from its previous close of ₹958.05. At 10:48 AM, the share price of Adani Green Energy was trading at ₹968.35, up by 1.08% on the NSE.
