ACME Solar's share price was up 1.93% at 2:16 PM and was trading at ₹242.20. The company has added 112.5 MW of new capacity at its Sikar Solar Power Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, as of May 20. This follows an earlier commissioning of 52.5 MW earlier in May.
With these additions, the Sikar project’s total operational capacity now stands at 165 MW, out of a planned 300 MW.
Once the full 300 MW is ready, the Sikar project is expected to generate 780 million units of clean energy annually. The electricity from the project will be sold on power exchanges on a merchant basis, meaning ACME will sell to the highest bidder rather than under long-term contracts.
With the Sikar expansion, ACME Solar’s total operational solar capacity has now grown from 2,592.5 MW to 2,705 MW. This aligns with the company’s aggressive expansion and commitment to green energy.
