ACME Solar Holdings Limited has achieved a significant milestone in its renewable energy journey by commissioning an additional 19.8 MW at its maiden wind project in Shapar, Gujarat.
This follows the initial commissioning of 26.4 MW in May 2025, bringing the total operational capacity of the project to 46.2 MW out of the planned 50 MW. Full commissioning is expected in the coming days.
Strategically positioned in one of India’s richest wind corridors, the project is being executed under the special purpose vehicle (SPV) — ACME Pokhran. The initiative is financially supported by Power Finance Corporation (PFC), underscoring strong institutional backing.
The power generated from the Shapar wind project is sold through a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), ensuring revenue visibility and long-term financial stability.
ACME Solar is executing the project through its in-house Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) capabilities. This not only helps in maintaining cost efficiency but also enables timely execution, enhancing project margins.
The clean energy produced is pooled at a 33/220 kV pooling station and evacuated via a dedicated 220 kV transmission line to the Shapar sub-station. This sub-station will also be shared with another upcoming ACME wind project currently in advanced stages of construction.
On June 13, 2025, ACME Solar share price opened at ₹239.00, down from its previous close of ₹243.95. At 9:49 AM, the share price of ACME Solar was trading at ₹239.55, down by 1.80% on the NSE.
