ACC Limited, a subsidiary of Ambuja Cements, has started operations at a new 1.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) grinding unit at its Sindri plant in Jharkhand. The project is a brownfield expansion. With this, the total installed cement capacity of Ambuja Cements and its subsidiaries has increased to 104.45 MTPA.
The commissioning was formally disclosed to the stock exchanges on July 9, 2025. The update was shared under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements. The same has been published on the company’s official website. No further project details were provided in the regulatory communication.
Ambuja Cements posted a revenue of ₹9,889 crore for the March 2025 quarter, a 6% rise over the December quarter figure of ₹8,415 crore. Net profit fell to ₹956.4 crore from ₹2,115.3 crore in the previous quarter.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at ₹1,867 crore, up from ₹799 crore in Q3FY25. EBITDA margin was reported at 18.9%.
Consolidated volumes reached 18.7 million tonnes, the highest-ever in a quarter for the company. The 13% year-on-year rise was driven by seasonal factors and capacity gains from Sanghi and Penna Cements. Figures from ACC and Sanghi had been published separately.
