The Mutual Fund SIP stoppage ratio in July 2025 was 62.66%, down from 77.77% in June and higher than 51.40% in July 2024. The ratio measures the number of SIP accounts stopped or matured against new registrations. A lower figure means more new SIPs are being added than discontinued.
SIP inflows for July 2025 reached ₹28,464 crore. Contributing SIP accounts rose 5.4% from June to 9.11 crore, while total outstanding SIP accounts were 944.97 lakh. Of these, 911.18 lakh were contributing accounts, the highest recorded so far.
The SIP stoppage ratio includes matured SIPs as well as those voluntarily stopped by investors. It also covers cases where investors close one SIP and start another as part of rebalancing their investments. A figure above 100% would mean more SIPs stopped than started.
