The Madhya Pradesh government is all set to release the 24th installment of its popular welfare scheme, Ladli Behna Yojana, on Thursday, May 15. Under this scheme, each eligible woman will receive ₹1,250 directly into her bank account as monthly financial aid.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav shared this update on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. He confirmed that the money will be transferred during a special programme in Sidhi district.
The Ladli Behna Yojana is a flagship scheme of the Madhya Pradesh government aimed at providing financial support to women. It was started to improve the economic condition of women and empower them to meet their needs independently.
As of now, the scheme benefits around 1.27 crore women across the state. Every month, ₹1,250 is credited to the bank accounts of eligible women under this scheme.
Usually, the money is transferred on the 10th of each month. However, this month, the transfer was delayed due to some administrative changes related to the start of the new financial year 2025–26.
Earlier, there were questions about whether the scheme would continue. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had assured that the scheme will not only continue but also be strengthened further for better implementation.
The Ladli Behna Yojana has become a lifeline for many women in Madhya Pradesh. With the 24th installment being released, it shows the state government’s continued commitment to women’s welfare and empowerment.
