The domestic indices sustained their downward trend, affected by significant losses in the information technology, auto, banking, and financial services sectors. Furthermore, broader indices relinquished some of the gains made earlier in the trading session, reflecting the prevailing market weakness. Energy, power and utilities sectors showed resilience amidst the overall weak investor sentiment.

At 10:45 am, the BSE Sensex tumbled 0.51% reaching a level of 73,134. The Nifty 50 index fell 0.43% to the 22,206 level. On the Sensex, Tata Steel, NTPC Ltd and Reliance Industries Ltd were among the top gainers, whereas Asian Paints, Hindustan Unilever Ltd and HDFC Bank were among the market draggers.

  • Kajaria Ceramics Ltd

Kajaria Ceramics Ltd observed a remarkable 33-fold increase in trading volume today, coupled with a notable 2% decline, reaching an intraday low of Rs 1,159.90 per share on the BSE. The company is a leading player in the Indian market, specializing in the production and distribution of ceramic and vitrified tiles, holding a prominent position as one of the largest manufacturers in the country.

  • Landmark Cars Ltd

Landmark Cars Ltd saw a notable 12-fold surge in trading volume, but its shares were slightly down today, hitting an intraday low of Rs 773.55 per share on the BSE. The company is a leading player in India’s premium automotive retail sector, boasting dealerships for renowned brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Jeep, Volkswagen, and Renault.

  • Sonata Software Ltd

Today, Sonata Software Ltd faced significant selling pressure, resulting in a sharp decline of around 14%, with shares reaching an intraday low of Rs 545.45 per share on the BSE. The company primarily focuses on delivering information technology (IT) services and solutions to a diverse clientele across the United States of America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and India.
